A welcome return to the Breakfast Meeting – Engineering Workshop, EEMUA 231

For those that may not be aware, Testex have run breakfast meetings for a number of years now, inviting local Engineers to attend and discuss topical Inspection and related engineering matters. Lincolnshire, Wednesday 29th June, was the first since COVID restrictions were lifted. It proved to be a great meeting and sparked some very useful debate around...

I’m sure we have said this before? Just how proud we are of our apprentices and this year they have done us proud - again! Mathew Lister has only gone and won the Concom Apprentice of the Year 2022! Amazing stuff Matt. The Concom Committee commented on just how much time and effort Matt put into his presentation and interview preparations and although the quality and standard of the presentations and interview comments were very high this year, Matt was indeed a...

Skills Training Top of the Agenda at TesTex

We are taking the opportunity to enhance the skills of four of our experienced API Inspectors this week, in the construction of Written Schemes of Examination. This marks the start of substantial investment within the business to further develop our most qualified staff. The programme is ably supported by our Category 2 and Category 1 Engineers, who are passing on the skills and knowledge they have obtained over many years. Written Schemes of Examination (WSE’s)

We are in the process of writing out to all of our customers, as a reminder that Written Schemes of Examination (WSEs) are considered to be one of the most important documents associated with asset integrity. Since our return from the Christmas break, we have seen an increase in requests for these and we continue to offer this vital writing service to anyone who requires one, whether a new or existing customer. The best time to do this is whilst we are...

TesTex – Annual Staff Meeting

We think it’s fair to say one of the first real highlights of the event was being able to see everybody together, have a chat, and catch up. Some of the staff hadn’t physically seen each other for a very long time. So, there were lots of happy chatter. The event carried some...

Dean and Trev will be on hand to welcome everyone to the stand and catching up on what’s new and evolving within our industry. Thanks to Joe and the team at the TSA for making this happen.

This will make a huge difference to the environment and this is just the start of our sustainable journey. To help us invest in these energy saving measures we had support from Smart Energy Greater Lincolnshire. Through this we received a grant of £2,800.61 to enable us to make these fantastic changes. The...

Non- Intrusive Inspection

Do you have vessels that for some reason you either can’t get physical access to the internals to fully inspect them, or you have a vessel that will cause needless and major unplanned costs should it be opened? You won’t necessarily be surprised to hear that you’re not the only one. However, you may be surprised to hear that there may be an alternative for you and this may be Non-Intrusive Inspection. The two methods that spring to mind are the API...
