TesTex – Annual Staff Meeting
Having had a two-year hiatus, we were finally able to hold our annual TesTex gathering which took place on the 14th of January at Healing Manor, NE Lincolnshire. We think it’s fair to say one of the first real highlights of the event was being able to see everybody together, have a chat, and catch up. Some of the staff hadn’t physically seen each other for a very long time. So, there were lots of happy chatter.
The event carried some really well-received good news about the year and the performance of the business. It was in fact a record year for TesTex NDT, UK. But it’s not all about the bottom line, it’s about the great work we did and the service we provided to our customers. It gave us the real opportunity to thank the staff for their hard work and dedication. Frankly, without their efforts, we wouldn’t be the company we are today.
There were lots of positive takeaways with new and developing products and services taking center stage. Here are just a few of the things we were delighted to be able to talk about;
The Integrity department has grown and we are now providing more services than ever to a range of customers this year. We welcomed to the business a further full-time integrity engineer, Phil Lucas. The inspection and NDT department have grown with the addition of new skills and services including phased array which we are set to grow further this year due to demand. We have also strengthened our renowned tube inspection service and are able to deploy multiple teams to help with shutdowns and turnarounds
All of this leads to the exciting prospect of what’s happening over the next few years at TesTex and our investment in new technology, people, and services. This year will also see the addition of a state-of-the-art airborne drone service and the expansion of our specialist consultancy services. We will also embark on an ambitious project to further develop our operating and digital systems. This will make the task of resourcing, data communication, insight and efficiency saving so much easier to achieve for our customers and our staff.
Our last task of the day, which gave us immense pleasure was to give out some annual awards.
- Apprentice of the year – Matt Lister
- Special recognition award – Carl Warren
- Employee of the year – Luke Burton
Well done to those guys, a tremendous effort. After such a year it’s hard not to give everyone an award, so a big shout out to all of the staff and customers for making 2021 such a great year at TesTex.
