TesTex Golf Day – 2023
After a 3-year pause, last Friday, June 23rd saw a welcome return to the TesTex Golf Day which had prior to the pandemic, in the history of TesTex, never been missed.
The event saw both customers and suppliers meet up at the Waltham Windmill Golf Club, Holton le Clay Grimsby, which we have to say was in absolutely fantastic condition and the weather was amazing – well done to them on both counts.
With over 30 playing golf and 40 sitting down for dinner the event was well patronised and among the many successes was the ½ way house staffed ably by friends, relatives and employees of TesTex. The sausage rolls went down a storm (thanks to Jane Mc), along with the beer.
So, to the winners; fiercely fought and played in good spirits as ever, the eventual victors were:
- Matt Oxley, Brendan Conlan and Jon Cook who won the team event. Well played to them with 112 points
- Nearest the pins and longest drive; Josh Winchester, Paul Holmes and Richard Marshall
- The individual winners in reverse order (drum roll please);
- 3rd Phil Lucas – 38 Points
- 2nd Brendan Conlan – 40 points
- 1st Richard Marshall – 40 points (w.B9)
As with previous years, the event also looks to support local charities and this year was no exception, with the chosen charity being Feed the Community https://www.feedthecommunity.co.uk/. Thanks to the generosity of all, on the day, the event raised £500, which will shortly be making its way to charity stewards.
Here’s looking forward to next year – Happy Golfing.
