Written Schemes of Examination (WSE’s)
We are in the process of writing out to all of our customers, as a reminder that Written Schemes of Examination (WSEs) are considered to be one of the most important documents associated with asset integrity.
Since our return from the Christmas break, we have seen an increase in requests for these and we continue to offer this vital writing service to anyone who requires one, whether a new or existing customer.
The best time to do this is whilst we are inspecting an asset in question, or shortly afterward when we have the information to hand. However, if you have a more imminent need, or have been asked to produce one for a non-PSSR asset by the regulators then we would be happy to advise you.
A WSE is a legal document used to define what examinations and testing need to be carried out on a piece of equipment, when, and by whom. It also specifies what preparatory work needs to be undertaken to allow the examination to be carried out safely and effectively. The WSE is a ‘’live’ document that should be reviewed on a regular basis.
If you need this service or are still unsure whether or not this documentation is required with regards to your own equipment, we can help you by ensuring all relevant regulations are being properly followed.
